About Me

I think of myself as an amateur as there is still a long way to go. I love the idea of creating. I always wonder what someone might be thinking at that moment, where they might be going places just sitting over there, we don't know!
I once found the shore, I was proud but I was too lazy and tired to swim, the waves were fast, and then poof! I was drowned. So, I'm also a work-in-progress as a whole. I'm still swimming.

My writing journey was explored through other apps too and then I started my own Instagram page called alostgirlsdiary, it wasn't much but it kept me sane until I fell into the trap of Instagram algorithm, likes, comments, reach. I'm an introvert and reaching out to people is never my kinda thing, so I'm not much active on my page (which I desperately need to change). This blog was also a process of exploring my writing, just my personal thing nothing more. It was first called Hues of a wildflower, then I just changed it to alostgirlsdiary so that I don't have different names for different writing pages. I want to keep exploring my art through this. I wish to be more active and interested here so I could fall back on the camel again. I also started writing on Medium for different publishing pages.

I love reading books, they fascinate me. But I also have this slump when I couldn't even read for days. A book that kept me hooked and also made me wonder recently is this one: Jaya, a retelling of Mahabharata by Devdatt Patnaik. I never was a fan of Mythology but this book took me on a trip that left a huge impact on my life. I have read more fiction books than non-fiction because I'm always on the edge to escape. This is my Goodreads account, add me as a friend if you wanna have all the bookish conversations.

Change, it's painful
This is something I wrote.
I write, not that I'm professional, I just write about things in my life and about what I've seen and experienced. Your quote is a writing app, which was introduced to me by 'word of mouth', I tried my hand at writing there. It caught my interest and I started exploring much more into the writing world. There are so many wonderful people out there with their beautiful minds expressing the wonders of the world, people, life, things and whatever in their beautiful and fascinating words. I have learned about people, thinking, perspectives, the other sides, multiple sides and so much more.

I'm also still in the process of learning about myself (Self-awareness), so it might not be a good idea to portray myself in the current state I'm in (bad, I can say that). So I'm healing, I'm still swimming.

You too, keep swimming!

Love,
Sushritha Danturi

PS: And also I love sunsets!

Here's a picture of the beautiful sunsets I have witnessed.
